Filles & Soie pour toutes & tous

Inspired by a book by Louise Duneton revisiting the tales of Snow White, The Little Mermaid and Peau d'Âne, this show questions our vision of femininity. Moving behind a backlit paper screen, accompanied by a pianist, Lison Goillot slips into the shoes of different heroines, showing just how cramped stereotypes are for women, and the harm done by the diktat of the duty of beauty. It's also an opportunity to talk about "women's bodies, the ageing of those bodies and their flaws, the things we do to them to perfect them". After years of success, the artist wanted to make his play more accessible, firstly with an LSF (sign language) actress on stage, but also with a number of "relaxed session" suggestions: work on the lighting in the stands, a revamped soundtrack, noise-cancelling headphones available, a tour of the theatre beforehand... A co-generational show that allows everyone to find their place.
